I marathoned The Last Airbender on Netflix before Korra first aired, so I could keep up with it as it was released and understand the lore/characters/general atmosphere. So a short answer...yes! Bolin and Tenzin are the best and need more screen time in season two. ;A;

Hah. I started with TLA because a cartoon show is more than a cartoon. Thought and intense research are put into every single cartoon and animated movie. They're created by adults and the people who work on them and the people who enjoy them can take whatever they want from them. Look at Pixar movies, as an example. While it's argued their main audience is children, an adult or young adult can take far more from them than a child can. Rewatch old movies you enjoyed as a child, and you'll catch things you didn't see in your younger age. To completely snuff cartoons simply because of your age is, to put it simply, a very, very big mistake. You're missing out on stories and characters that can teach you things. There are better lessons in today's 'children cartoons' than many people realize. In all honesty I find it insulting when people consider cartoons as something only children can enjoy. It's quite the opposite! It could be because I was an animation major, but your age should never hold you back from legitimately enjoying something. While, yes, certain parts in TLA AND Korra are childish, there is so much more to them. After watching all of Korra, I have to say TLA is WAY BETTER WRITTEN. The characters are more believable, and actually learn and struggle. The ending of Korra was extremely badly written, and almost insulting to those who had high hopes for it. What did Korra learn? Nothing. She used force to gain her air bending abilities when she was told she needed to do the exact opposite throughout the entire season. But...apparently her way was okay? And don't even get me started on Mako. Just because there's romance in a series, doesn't make it suited to a different audience.

I'm currently 22 years old, and I enjoy everything. Whether it be Adventure Time, Korra, Doctor Who, K-ON, Gravity Falls, Arrested Development, Community, or even My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic...every single show/movie teaches me something and ultimately has changed how I look at things. And surprisingly? It's the simple, more 'childish' ones that have altered my view on life. Doctor Who has made me accept lots of things that initially terrified me (granted I'm by no means insinuated it's childish. However, there are plenty of children that watch it every week!), while My Little Pony (to be specific, the character Pinkie Pie) has taught me to simply be kinder and more generous and open to my friends and family. We take what we can from life, and if that means enjoying cartoons until I'm an old lady, then so be it. Those who force themselves to stay away from shows that could have the potential to bring them happiness and laughter (and in many cases for me, tears), can continue to live, attempting to fit in with what others dictate they should be.

I take pride in my childish nature. But to insinuate a person is a child, simply because of the things they watch and enjoy, is narrow-minded. I could easily write essay length analyses of the multiple shows I watch, whether they're intended for 8 year-olds or 18+. There's more to a show or movie than its intended audience. Think of the people who create it. They aren't children. They're adults with immense imagination and passion for creating stories and environments that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. To be a part of that creative process is beyond me, but it's something I absolutely long for.

ow, and about the bad written ending, you do know they only had an order for 12 episodes right?
I enjoyed TLK more than TLA, mostly because of the amount of adventure/tension, and I'm really into martial arts and tricking so to see so many well drawn action scenes was cool to see (:
and the sacrifice of Lin was definitely the part where I was like: 'omg.............this isn't supposed to be for children:p'
and I can't remember in TLA a scene that touched me so much

wow, that was an extremely long comment xD and I agree with you, IF I watch a disney movie or something like that, I do see the deeper meaning in it etc~

and it's kinda the same with subeta, when ppl will see it for the first time they'll think it's for ~8 year old, but when you go deeper you'll see the art-, profile market etc and you'll change your mind about it when you see the quality of the stuff that's offered

and yes, you should definitely watch the things that makes you happy and what you like(:

and why don't you join something like that again? if it's something you really want? you watch a lot of these 'children' movies/shows, and they also learn you to go for your dreams... (:

and I agree, the first 15 seconds aren't funny, you have to watch at least till the 3 minutes :p
BUT I know now kinda how you think, and that parody isn't your type of humor, since that thing is retarded xD *I enjoy all kinds of humor, not just retarded stuff ;p*
